Why must a person take so much heat when they are in a minority position or group? Let's support the conservative regardless!

I want to see if anybody responds to this one. We in the islands would also be in the minority, as well as we conservative Republicans even more so.

Very good seed here.

A tea party supporter running against House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., Lollar says he's finding support in unexpected places.

The 38-year-old U.S. Marine Corps reservist recently walked into a bar in southern Maryland decorated with a Confederate flag. It gave his wife Rosha pause.

"I said, 'You know what, honey? Many, many of our Southern citizens came together under that flag for the purpose of keeping their family and their state together,'" Lollar recalled. "The flag is not what you're to fear. It's the stupidity behind the flag that is a problem. I don't think we'll find that in here. Let's go ahead in."

Once inside, they were treated to a pig roast, a motorcycle rally—and presented with $5,000 in contributions for his campaign.

At least some people have learned not to judge a book by its cover and have reaped the benefits from that knowledge. Remember, history is written by the winners and while the issue of slavery was a major contributor to the start of the Civil War, the actual argument was Federalism vs State-ism as the major power over the People inside the States borders.

Thanks for the reminder. One thing I have always taught my sons and daughter is to think critically about what you read and hear. The public in general tends to believe whatever they are told especially if it is plausible, though not necessarily true.

It is terrible the way innocent folks in the tea party are getting treated...both white and black.

The way some dems throw out the race card is incredibly insulting to blacks who are Conservative.

Huh? Read my profile...Christian Conservative, Republican. My problem with the Racism issue is that it isn't about race at all...political construct, nationalism, pure hatred, or even maybe righteous indignation, but not skin color.

Just pulling your leg and poking fun at those who equate believing in a Greater Power to be as crazy as us Tea Party members thinking we can change the governments corrupt and self-centered nature....
